SSC CGL 2020 Notification:
The Staff Selection Commission published the notification for SSC CGL 2020 examination on October 22, 2019. The exam is slated to be held from March 2 to March 11, 2020. The notification was published online.
Some SSC exams have been postponed. Official notification has been released on the website https://ssc.nic.in. Candidates need to start preparing for the exam early this year as exam dates may change again.
SSC CGL 2020 Exam Date:
SSC has finally published the SSC calendar for the year 2020-21 with a revised schedule of SSC CGL examination. SSC has also released the exam dates for SSC CGL 2020 Tier I, Tier II and Tier III exams. According to the latest SSC exam calendar, the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2020, which is Tier I (CBE) is scheduled from 02.03.2020 to 11.03.2020.

SSC CGL 2020 Admit Card
The admit card for SSC CGL Tier I exam release date will be notified on the official website https://ssc.nic.in. The admit card is expected to be released online by the fourth week of February 2020.
SSC CGL exam admits cards and/or admission certificates will be uploaded as per the concerned Regional and Sub-Regional Office. The downloading facility is available for at least a week prior to the date of examination. Candidates should visit the official website of the concerned commission for further information and updates about the exam.

SSC CGL Syllabus
The exam syllabus mainly covers topics from the 10th and 12th standard. The syllabus also varies with the Tiers.
Tier I: Topics are mainly related to General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language, Comprehension
Tier II: Quantitative Aptitude, Statistics, English Language, Comprehension, General Studies – Finance and Commerce
Tier III: Descriptive type of exam to test the language skills of candidates in English/Hindi. This applies to candidates appearing for Grade II Statistical Investigator and Compiler
Tier IV: Data entry speed test and computer proficiency are tested in this exam.
SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring for SSC CGL must be very clear about the eligibility criteria of this test. There are 4 categories of the exam; while 3 categories are for all, 1 category is restricted for a few posts only.
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Candidates must be a citizen of India, Bhutan or Nepal
- Candidates must be 18 to 32 years of age
- Candidates must be graduates, holding a Bachelor’s degree, from a recognized university
- Physical fitness is mandatory for candidates appearing for posts like Inspector and Sub-Inspector
There is a reservation of age for reserved categories.
The SSC CGK application fee is Rs. 100.
There is no fee for female, SC/ST, ex-servicemen, and handicapped candidates.
The application fee is to be paid through SBI via either Net Banking or challan or Debit/Credit card. The Challan form is generated online.
Candidates who want to pay in cash can take a print out challan that generates online after completing the first part of registration. Once the requisite fee is deposited in an SBI branch, the second part of registration begins.
Candidates paying online can directly follow Part 2 registration after completing Part 1 registration. Candidates should supply their registration number along with the date of birth to continue the Part 2 registration.
