This requirement is made in multiple disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Instrumentation Engineering as per the company.
Eligibility criteria –
Candidate must have first class pass bachelor’s degree in required discipline (preferably B. E., B. Tech., B. Sc.) from recognized university or college.
Age limit –
The candidates should be between 21 to 30 years of age. Some age relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC Candidates
Selection criteria –
GATE score is the major selection criteria but in some companies it is used for short listing candidates.
Exam pattern –
Sometimes companies conduct their own tests to analyze candidates.
The selection is based on two tier selection process consisting of MCQ exam. The exam judges the technical and aptitude based knowledge of candidates. The candidates for various disciplines like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Control and Instrumentation and HR & Finance are eligible to attend technical exam.
- Technical Question Paper consists of 120 multiple choice questions from EE/EC/ME/CE/EI branches. Time allotted is 2 hours
- Aptitude Question Paper consists of a common questioner of 50 questions from general, awareness, reasoning and intelligence, general English etc.
For every wrong answer there is a provision of 0.25 mark deduction in both the papers.
